Bringing the Gifts of the Croatian-Hungarian Catholic Faith to the Mahoning Valley
Lent is a penintential season of prayer, fasting and almsgiving to prepare for the celebration of Easter

As part of the Diocese of Youngstown's Parish Implementation Plan, Our Lady of Hungary Church; Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Roman Catholic Church; and St. Stephen of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, have merged as The Holy Apostles Parish.  Our Lady of Hungary Church site closed in February 2012.  St. Stephen of Hungary Church and Ss. Peter and Paul Croatian Church are Worship Sites.

The mission of our Parish is to glorify, uplift and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and exemplify Christ's love for future generations of the faithful while maintaining a rich multi-ethnic heritage and welcoming all. Our vision reflects the generations of saints who come before us who by their faith and deeds exemplified the servant heart of Christ ministering to the poor, homeless and suffering of the Mahoning Valley and beyond (Matthew 25).

A Prayer for Our Parish

Loving God,
We turn to you with grateful hearts for
The Croatian, Hungarian and many ethnic
Cultures of the Mahoning Valley
That have given life and strength to our
Holy Apostles Parish.
We serve these cultural communities and
They members through love and a call to
Live Mathew 25.

Like the Apostles each of us has
Personally chosen this parish community
Linking ourselves in Christian service to
Family and friend within the Body of
Christ, our valley and the world beyond.

Like the Apostles Peter, Paul and Stephen
of Hungary we devoted to Mary, the
Mother of God, Our Lady of Hungary,
Croatia, the USA and all nations.

We seek to share with others the unity in
Friendship we have received from Christ,
His Mother and his saints.

Give us generous hearts, unity,
Cooperation and courage like you gave to
The Apostles that we may
Reach out to others.

We know there is much to do.
We believe our dreams to reach
Those in need, both young and old,
Are rooted in your word Jesus who took
Flesh and sanctified family and
Ethnic heritage.

Please guide us and strengthen us.
Bless us with your presence,
Now and in the years to come.
